IntertechPira's Focus on the Future…Green Beauty 2009 is a new conference covering the mushrooming natural/organic/green beauty products industry. This event, produced in conjunction with Grayson Associates (http://www.graysonassociates.com), is the first conference of its kind in California. It will cover the ten significant areas impacting the successful marketing of natural/organic products.

Proposed Sessions:

º Current Natural/Organic Trends/Future Potential:

     Two presentations--(1) product focused, (2) consumer focused.

º Advertising Claims/Support: Substantiation, FDA, patents, and the intersection with certifying organizations.

º New Actives/Delivery Systems: Emphasis is on "new" and potential value to the consumer--the differentiating factor.

º Formulating for the Natural/Organic/Green Marketplace: PL supplier or major chemical company.

º How to Maximize Your Results/Relationship with a PL Supplier

º Best Natural/Organic/Green Marketing Techniques:

     Distribution, buzz, and the Internet

º Perils, Pitfalls, and Praise of Natural/Organic/Green Advertising: How to improve. (Note: This slot is filled.)

º Academia/Research: What's new, what's on the horizon--and how can we use it?

WORKSHOPS - Wednesday, October 14:

9:00 AM-12:00 Noon

º Certification: This will be a panel representing the different major approaches. In that certification will, sooner or later be the bare minimum for consumer acceptance, it behooves every marketing company to be apprised of the various proposals and be prepared to make a selection. Long-term this could be one of the most significant decisions a company has to make. Each panel participant will be required to prepare a hand-out covering his/her particular certification position.

1:30 PM-4:30 PM

ºBeauty Inside and Out: Understanding how and when to consider using food derivatives, vitamins, fortified waters, et al., as ingredients to be applied topically or ingested. It's a whole new world into which the current beauty and personal care industry must fit. Remember, word processing wasn't invented by Remington and the ball-point pen didn't come from Waterman.
